Closing your account
You can close your account at any time from your account settings, or by asking us. When you do, we immediately remove your listings from the site and sign you out everywhere. After a 30-day grace period, during which you can ask us to reactivate the account, we permanently delete your profile, contact details, sign-in identities, saved items and searches, notification settings and profile photo. Messages you sent to other users remain visible to them with your name and contact details removed. Payment records are kept for seven years, as Hong Kong tax and accounting law requires.
Exceptions to Data Deletion
Some records are kept after your account is closed because the law requires it: payment and invoice records for seven years under Hong Kong tax and accounting rules, and records we need to establish or defend a legal claim for as long as that claim can be brought. We keep only what those obligations cover, and nothing else is used for any other purpose.
What happens after your data is deleted
Deleted data disappears from our live systems at once and from our backups when those backups are next rotated, which takes at most 35 days. During that window the backup copy is used for nothing except restoring service after a failure.
